Because she is one of the very few bilingual (English and Japanese) real estate agents in town, she receives 3-8 rental home inquiries a week. Those Japanese executives are typically on a five-year job assignment. Due to their company policy, they are not allowed to purchase a house. That creates high demand in rental properties in this area. Their housing allowance stipend in addition to their salary assures on time rent payment for her investors. Founder and CEO
Akiko Miyamoto, Founder and CEO, was born and raised in Tokyo. While attending Waseda University, she founded a Tokyo-based corporation and initially provided business communication training to foreign capital corporations such as Sumitomo 3M and GE Yokokawa Medical Systems. Her company later expanded into Japan market entry consultation and helped North American companies, including automotive OEM suppliers from Detroit. Akiko has lived in L.A., a suburb of Boston, the mid-Hudson Valley area of NY, Wilmington, NC, and, of course, Tokyo before moving to Columbus due to her husband’s relocation. Upon arriving in Columbus in 2010, Akiko leased rooms in her own house and recognized the significant potential in the rental real estate business. She became a licensed real estate agent in 2011 and assisted in finding and creating rental homes for Japanese expatriate families, collaborating with investors aiming to build assets through real estate acquisition.
